
The Role of a Healthy Lifestyle in the Early Detection and Prevention of Diseases
A large-scale preventive medical examination dedicated to the topic “The Role of a Healthy Lifestyle in the Early Detection and Prevention of Diseases” was conducted at Secondary School No. 28 in the Olmazor district with the participation of the 1st Faculty, the Department of Hospital Therapy, Rheumatology and Occupational Pathology, as well as other departments.
Within the framework of the implementation of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, a medical examination for teachers and students of Secondary School No. 28 in the Olmazor district was organized at the initiative of the 1st Faculty and the Department of Hospital Therapy, Rheumatology and Occupational Pathology of Tashkent State Medical University.
The event was attended by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work of the university, T.A. Bobomurotov, the Head of the Department D.A. Nabiyeva, professors and teachers, the Chairman of the “Guruchariq” Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly Kh.A. Khodjikhonov, mahalla activists, and local residents.
During the medical examination, 45 qualified doctors, including therapists, cardiologists, ophthalmologists, orthopedic traumatologists, otorhinolaryngologists, neurologists, pediatricians, dentists, obstetricians-gynecologists, and other specialists participated. Medical screenings were carried out using modern diagnostic equipment, including ultrasound examination, ECG devices, and a mobile laboratory.
As a result, 650 students and nearly 100 teachers and staff members underwent a comprehensive medical examination. Initial diagnoses were made for identified health issues, and the necessary medical recommendations were provided.
Additionally, residents of the mahalla were also examined during the event and received consultations and advice regarding their health conditions. This initiative played an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people, early detection of diseases, and strengthening public health.
At the end of the event, mahalla activists and the school administration expressed their sincere gratitude to the university and department staff.
